Crossroads Garden Club Bus Trip to WOODLAWN & POPE – LEIGHEY HOUSE, Alexandria, Virginia, Thursday, October 8, 2026. Crossroads Gardens Club invites you and your guests to travel to WOODLAWN & POPE-LEIGHEY HOUSE located in Alexandria, Virginia on Thursday, October 8. This outing will include traveling by chartered bus, touring both the WOODLAWN Estate (once part of George Washington’s Mount Vernon) and the POPE-LEIGHEY HOUSE (designed in 1941 by Frank Llyod Wright). We will then eat lunch at the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant before returning to Hagerstown.
We will leave on Thursday, October 8th from the lower lot at Martin’s Grocery Store parking lot on the Dual Highway at 7:45 AM and travel to Alexandria, VA. We will return to Hagerstown by 3:30 PM. The cost for the trip is $75 for Crossroads Garden Club members members and $80 for guests. This includes the cost of the admission to both WOODLAWN AND POPE-LEIGHEY HOUSE and bus transportation, including the driver’s tip. The cost of lunch at the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant is not included.
